How long does setup take at New Jersey venues?

Accepted Answer

Plan on roughly 90 minutes to two hours of setup and about an hour of breakdown. New Jersey venues are generally kinder than Manhattan on load-in: most hotels, corporate campuses and country clubs offer ground-level or dock access and on-site parking, which removes the freight-elevator scheduling that slows city events. Older Jersey City and Hoboken buildings are the exception and may need an elevator reservation. We confirm the load-in window with your venue ahead of time and are fully set and sound-checked before guests arrive.

Do you serve venues across all of New Jersey?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We are based in Jersey City and cover the entire state, with the heaviest concentration of work in North Jersey: Hudson County, Newark and the Ironbound, Parsippany and the Route 10 and Route 46 corporate corridor, Morristown, the Meadowlands, Hoboken, Bergen County and Edison. We also regularly work Princeton, Atlantic City and the Jersey Shore. Travel within North Jersey is included; a travel fee may apply for events in the far south or west of the state, and we will state it clearly in your proposal.

Do you know the Jersey City and Hoboken venue scene?

Accepted Answer

Very well, since it is our home market. We have played the Jersey City waterfront and Exchange Place corporate spaces, Downtown and Powerhouse Arts District lofts and galleries, Journal Square venues, and rooftop and terrace spaces on both sides of the Hudson, along with Hoboken restaurants, waterfront rooms and event lofts. Knowing these rooms matters practically: we already know which have tight stairwells, which need an elevator reservation, where parking and loading actually work, and how each room behaves acoustically once it is full of people.

Can you cover an outdoor or tented event on a corporate campus?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it is a large share of our spring and summer New Jersey calendar: campus lawns in Parsippany and along Route 10, country club terraces, picnic pavilions and tented company family days. Two things decide how it goes. The first is power — we need a dedicated 20-amp circuit within a reasonable cable run, and if the nearest outlet is across a lawn we will tell you at the walkthrough rather than on the day. The second is weather cover, since the gear needs a tent, awning or hard roof over it before we can safely put a system outdoors. Give us a rain plan and an indoor fallback room and we will build the setup to move.
