What does a corporate event DJ provide besides music?

Music, and the room that goes with it. We bring a professional sound system scaled to your space with speech-clear vocal reinforcement, a wireless microphone package for executives and presenters, and light mic work for welcome remarks, sponsor mentions and award announcements. We run your schedule and coordinate with your AV team and venue at load-in. Event lighting is available as a separate add-on, quoted against the room. What we do not do is plan or produce the event: no staging, no rentals, no photo booths, no live musicians. We are the DJ, and we are the reason the floor fills after the formalities.

Can you supply a certificate of insurance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We carry commercial general liability insurance and issue certificates of insurance at no charge. Send us the venue name, the exact entity to be named as additional insured, the required limits and the mailing or email address for the certificate, and we will have the COI issued and delivered directly to the venue. Most Manhattan hotels, museums and event spaces require this before load-in, so we ask for those details as soon as your contract is signed rather than in the final week.

How long does setup take at Manhattan venues?

A standard corporate setup takes about 90 minutes to two hours from the moment we reach the room, plus roughly an hour of breakdown. The real variable in Manhattan is building access, not the gear: freight elevator windows, loading dock scheduling, certificate of insurance approval and union labor rules can add significant time. We contact your venue ahead of the event to confirm the load-in window and dock schedule, and we make sure we are fully set, sound-checked and out of sight well before your first guest arrives.

Can you work with the in-house AV vendor at our venue?

Accepted Answer

Routinely, and in most Manhattan hotels and museums it is required. Many houses will not let an outside vendor touch their console, their ceiling speakers or their power, so the practical question is where the handoff happens. We will patch into the house system and bring only our own playback and DJ package, or run fully self-contained on our own speakers where the house permits it — whichever the venue and your budget point to. Put us in touch with the in-house AV lead once the space is contracted so the patch point, power and dock time are settled long before show day.
