How much does a DJ cost for a corporate holiday party in NJ or NYC?

Our packages run from $2,500 to $4,500, each covering up to four hours of DJ performance, music preparation, and setup and breakdown. Most December company parties fit the $3,500 Corporate Celebration package. Lighting is quoted separately as an add-on, starting at $450 for small-venue coverage.

How far in advance should we book a DJ for a December party?

Book the venue first, then the DJ. Ten to twelve weeks out is normal. The dates that actually run out are the Fridays and Saturdays in the second and third weeks of December; early-December and midweek dates stay open much longer. If it is September or October and you have a venue, you are on time.

Does the DJ handle the microphones for speeches and awards?

Yes. We supply wireless microphones, check them before doors, bring the music down and up on cue, and handle light mic work such as introductions and announcements. We are not an MC or host; if the event needs one, we work alongside them.

Does the DJ need a certificate of insurance for our venue?

Most Manhattan venues and many in New Jersey require one before load-in, usually with the venue named as additional insured. We carry commercial general liability insurance and issue a COI to your venue at no charge with the wording they specify. Ask for it when you sign.

What do you need from us to check a date?

The date, the venue, and roughly how many people. From that we confirm availability, recommend a package, and tell you what the venue will need. We reply within 24 hours.

Do you play clean music at company events?

Clean radio edits by default, and nothing on your do-not-play list. Genres follow your guests, not the DJ: the same night can move from background jazz at arrival to the songs your team actually dances to.

How the night runs

Three Jobs,One DJ

A company holiday party is three events wearing one name. The DJ is responsible for all of them.

Arrival

The room fills to music set by walking to the far table, not standing at the booth. Nobody notices it; everybody would notice if it stopped.

The program

We supply and check the wireless microphones, bring the music down when a speaker steps up and back up when they step down, and cue walk-ups for awards.

The floor

After the formalities there is a ninety-second window where the room decides whether it is dancing tonight. Eleven years of a Manhattan rooftop residency is how we win it.

Event lighting is a separate add-on quoted against the room, from $450. Extended hours, a second sound zone and extra microphones are quoted as separate lines.

What your venue will ask for

Most Manhattan hotels, museums and event spaces, and a growing number in New Jersey, will not approve a vendor load-in without a certificate of insurance naming the building and the operator as additional insured. It is the detail most often missed, because the venue asks you and you do not know to ask the DJ.

We carry commercial general liability insurance year-round and issue the COI with the wording your venue specifies. We also confirm the load-in window, power, and whether we bring our own system or patch into theirs, directly with the venue, before the date.

Based in Jersey City. Hudson County and Manhattan are home: Jersey City, Hoboken, Weehawken, Newport, Midtown, Downtown, Chelsea and the West Side, with venues from rooftops to hotel ballrooms. The rest of North Jersey and the other boroughs on request.
